Last year’s exhibition from La Gacilly travelled to the inaugural Baden photo festival this year, close to the Austrian capital. Lois Lammerhuber has done an incredible job of pulling everything together, and it was mind blowing to see the way that he curated my work exploring the legacy of nuclear testing in Kazakhstan. It was more of an installation, in one of Baden’s oldest buildings — uninhabited for a couple of decades, the decay in the building reflecting the decay of the former test site in Semipalatinsk.
